TEXARKANA, Texas (August 24, 2007) – TAC Air, a division of Truman Arnold Companies, has announced that Doug Campbell of Columbia, Ky., Dave Leuschel of Taylors, S.C., and Michael Carpenter of Birmingham, Ala. are finalists who have a chance at winning a fully restored 1959 Chris-Craft Capri Runabout, courtesy of TAC Air.

The finalists represent three of more than 21,000 entries received since February, a 40% increase over entries for the previous year’s giveaway. All pilots using TAC Air’s fixed-base operation (FBO) services at its 11 different locations were eligible to submit one entry a day until the August 15 deadline. This year’s giveaway is “Timeless”, a classic 1959 Chris-Craft Capri Runabout and one of the 1950s most popular upscale boat designs. The boat’s records show that only 64 of these models were built in 1959, and only 12 remain in working condition. “Timeless”, valued at over $45,000, has won multiple contests for pristine upkeep and restoration.

This year’s interest in the campaign has skyrocketed, and it is a special treat for us to have found such a beautiful boat to give away that fits so well with our campaign,” said Greg Arnold, President and CEO of Truman Arnold Companies. “We are looking forward to giving the Chris-Craft to the lucky winner in Atlanta.”

On the heels of the overwhelmingly successful presentation of last year’s Hummer H3 giveaway, TAC Air will again sponsor the three finalists to attend the NBAA Meeting and Convention in Atlanta September 25-27. “Timeless” will be given away at 2 p.m. at the TAC Air booth #805 on Wednesday, September 26.

The Chris-Craft culminates TAC Air’s 2007 “You’re the Big Fish at TAC Air” marketing campaign. The campaign invites pilots to come to TAC Air to be treated like the big fish in TAC Air’s small pond meaning, the FBO chain’s more than 300 associates treat customers with excellent customer service and the best line service available. This year’s giveaway continues TAC Air’s tradition that began several years ago during the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention. Giveaways at previous NBAA conventions include a Hummer H3, a Rolex watch, a 2000 Volkswagen “Bug”, a 2001 PT Cruiser, a 1945 yellow vintage Piper Cub and a perfectly restored 1957 Thunderbird convertible.

“The ‘Big Fish’ campaign has made a big, bold statement throughout our network,” said Arnold. “With larger than life banners and close attention to helping our customers feel like the big fish in our small pond, this year’s campaign has made a big impact. Giving away the Chris-Craft at the NBAA show will certainly make one of our customers feel like the biggest fish of all.”
